Editorial & correction policy

We only use factual specification parameters from publicly distributed manufacturer catalogs, official interchange documents and identifiable distributor/aftermarket listings. We do not access content behind login walls or paywalls, do not copy manufacturer text, images, drawings or logos, and do not mirror other catalog websites.

Each record lists every source used — publisher, document title, version where available, URL and access date. The complete published dataset is reusable under CC BY 4.0 on the open data page.

• Dual-path extraction: each catalog table is processed independently twice and the results are diffed.
• Rule checks cover grade-code arithmetic, OD/length plausibility, unit consistency, β-rating conventions and cross-reference symmetry.
• A record is published only when its confidence score is at least 0.70 and every parameter traces to a source.
• Cross references are graded full (catalog-confirmed fit AND grade AND seals), partial (envelope fits but micron, collapse, bypass or seals differ) or verify (aftermarket-quoted, catalog confirmation pending).
• Conflicting sources are kept on the page with a conflict flag — never silently resolved.
• A random 5% sample of published records is re-verified every month.

Reported errors are reviewed within 48 hours; confirmed corrections are recorded with the affected catalog version and shown as a revision note at the top of the page. If a source catalog changes, affected pages are revised within 48 hours of detection. Dataset versions are immutable once published on the open data page; corrections ship as a new dated release in the version log.

All brand names, model designations and trademarks are the property of their respective owners. They appear solely to identify compatibility (nominative use), in forms such as “cross reference for [brand] [model]”. This site is independent and is not authorized, sponsored or endorsed by any manufacturer. Manufacturer brands are not used in our domain name or site name.

Specifications are published for reference only. Always verify critical dimensions, filtration ratings, seal compatibility and collapse pressures against the current manufacturer data sheet before ordering or installing a component in a load- or safety-critical circuit.
